The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is to conduct a capacity building workshop for its Voter Education and Publicity Staff at the headquarters and states.

A statement signed by the Director, Voter Education and Publicity, Mr. Nick Dazang, said the workshop, which is a Train- The- Trainers, ToT, will be segmented into two, due to COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the statement, the workshop will among other things provide opportunity to brief the HODs of Voter Education on the Commission’s various activities for the year, including Anambra governorship election as well as, share experiences over the conduct of the 2019 General Elections.

It also stated that the workshop, would be conducted in partnership with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, hence, validating the Voter Education Manual, earlier reviewed by headquarters staff.

The statement noted that the first segment, which will comprise Heads of Voter Education in the Southern States and the headquarters, will take place from first to third March in Akure, Ondo State while the second segment comprising Heads of Voter Education in the Northern States and headquarters staff will take place in Lokoja from eleventh to thirteenth March 2021.
