Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe has held its beginning of the year interdenominational prayer session.

The prayer session which is an annual event took place at the College Auditorium.

The 2021 prayer session is not different as the auditorium of the institution was filled to brim with students, staff and management of the institution.

In a homily Reverend Father Benjamin Udeh, urged the students to be future minded by engaging in things that will benefit them.

He asked them to review their lives and start walking in the right direction in order to obtain favour from the Lord.

Venerable Chukwurah took the gathering through the prayer of Thanksgiving and intercession as they prayed for the nation, Anambra state, the institution’s governing council, the students, staff and for the progress of the entire institution.

The Provost of the College, Dr Ifeyinwa Osegbo  in  her remark noted that the prayer session has over time remained fruitful as the importance of prayer cannot be overemphasized.

Dr Osegbo called on the students to be guided in all their dealings.

She commended the State government’s effort in checking the spread of the COVID-19 and also appreciated the efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution in helping the institution to maintain high standards of education calling for its sustenance.

The President of the Students Union Government Mr Samuel Ogbuefi on behalf of the students lauded  the management for the initiative and enjoined fellow students to be more committed to the things of the Lord.
