Youths are one of the greatest assets any nation can have. Not only are they regarded as the future leaders, they are the greatest investment for a country’s development. Youths are the value possession of any nation or region. Without them, there can be no future.

Youths are the centre of reconstruction and development. The extent of their vitality, responsible conduct and role in society is positively correlated with the development of their country. The vision of any country lies in the hands of the youths. They are filled with tremendous and towering ambition.

It will be a great wastage of human resource therefore if these youths are not given an opportunity to exercise their talent. Nigeria needs these youths in order for our soil to become a brighter one.

Youths are the Spring of Life. It is the age of discovery and dreams. They have the power to transform the nation into a better place. They also have the ability to lead their fellow citizens into a right direction. Youths are fighters. They fight for an identity in society, equality, unemployment, exploitation, poverty and other problems which the world faces today.

Youths hope for a world full of opportunities; so that great minds can conquer them and become better individuals. They however, need good moral and value to handle conflict in a positive way.

The role of the youth is the most important in today’s time. They have underplayed themselves in the field of politics. Our nation needs them to resolve most of our problems.

No wonder the likes of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra are capitalizing on the noble assets of youths in the development of the state. Eighty per cent of Governor Obiano’s political appointees are seasoned, tested and trusted youths who have carved a niche for themselves in various fields of endeavour. The nation is facing a lot of problems, and youths are capable of solving them. They just need to be given a chance to prove their mettle. Thus, for other governments to thrive, they need to borrow a leaf from Obiano’s model on Youth development.

Youths can be in the forefront of championing for world peace and religious tolerance, if given the chance. Youths can convince their fellow man to live in peace and love. All of us are one and we should not allow these little differences to push us away from one another.

Robbery, kidnapping, wife battery, fraud and other forms of crime can be curbed when youths are involved. All of these crimes and violence can stop when the youth are united and work towards that goal. The youth has the ability to bring about a change in their country. Youths have the ability to face all these challenges and problems. They have a positive influence on their fellow young people. They are able to teach them the positive things in life.

They will make them understand the importance of good education. The youths should be taken into consideration. Just as Akpokuedike did, youths should be engaged into meaningful ventures that will help them become productive. Public and private organizations should assist the youths so they can make our land great again. They can make a huge difference in society and the entire world.

Our youths should be given quality education in order to become better citizens of tomorrow. They need to learn skills to do the job that their country’s economy needs. They also need to know how to read, write, think, understand and discuss the issues in their country.

Our youths can turn away from herders, kidnappers, rapists, fraudsters, armed robbers, terrorists, prostitutes and criminals to better citizens and worthy potential leaders their parents and siblings will be proud of, if only they are given the chance.
