Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation has distributed thousands of twenty-five kilogram bags of rice to all the communities in Oraifite, churches and institutions in the spirit of Christmas.

The Christmas Rice gift distribution which was extended to other institutions in Nnewi and Ozubulu, took place at Umueshi Hall, Irefi Oraifite.

In a remark during the event, the Chairman on the occasion, Hon. Chibuzo Obiakor ,who is the Commissioner, FRSC, National Headquarter, said the rice distribution is  done every year by the  Foundation to make people have the joy of Christmas, stressing that Oraifite town is blessed to have a worthy son like Sir Emeka Okwuosa who in spite of the challenges of this year, still reach out to people.

In a speech, the Executive Director of the Foundation Sir Azuka Okwuosa who also represented Sir Emeka Okwuosa, said the Foundation is at the forefront of touching lives saying that the Foundation is building a skill acquisition centre in the area.

Sir Emeka  explained that initially, they use to send people to Shell, Port Harcourt to learn various skills which empowers them for life but the Foundation decided to build the skill acquisition centre at Oraifite to bring it nearer to the people and listed other projects executed by the Foundation to make life meaningful for the people.

The coordinator of the Foundation, Professor Johnson Anene said this year’s Christmas Rice gift targeted every home in Oraifite town which is given to every married woman.

Earlier in a brief devotion, the Anglican Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Right Reverend Ndubuisi Obi represented by Administrator Oraifite East Archdeaconry, Venerable Chamberlain Igwenazor noted that the Foundation had previously distributed medical and COVID-19 palliatives due to the founder’s love for humanity urging the people to accept Jesus Christ who is the Prince of Peace.

The women held a special prayer session for the donor during the event.
