Anambra   State government through the Ministry Of Public Utilities has donated five hundred KVA and thirty-three KV transformers to Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area.

The facility which replaced the completely burnt transformer and other power installations around Golden Tulip-Agulu Lake Hotel and environs  is for effective power supply.

Correspondent Amaka Chibuzor Okoye completes  reports that while presenting the transformer to the community, Governor Willie Obiano said that his administration has continued to extend dividends of democracy to the door steps of Ndi Anambra in giving all a sense of belonging and to live life to its fullest.

Represented by the Commissioner For Public Utilities, Mr. Emeka Ezenwanne, Governor Obiano recalled that a tanker laden with Petroleum product had on Thursday, twenty-sixth November, 2020 lost control around Agulu Lake while descending the slope and caught fire and both private and public buildings and other infrastructure were razed by the inferno but due to his magnanimity to his subjects, he moved for the replacement.

He enjoined Ndi Anambra to take full ownership of all government facilities and infrastructure erected in their area, monitor and protect them   for their own good even as he cautioned against bush burning as harmattan has set in.

Responding on behalf of the community an APGA Chieftain, Chief Ben Obi commended Governor Obiano for his quick response.
