Initiative, CAFE, has received An operating license as a charity
organization in the United States of America.
Dr Mrs. Obiano, who disclosed this during her visits to Oyi and
Dunukofia Local Government Areas, in continuation of her tour of
twenty-one local government areas of Anambra State, explained that the
recognition would help in sourcing more support for CAFE abroad.

Obiano said that the organization has received a 501(c)(3)
recognition; a unique American identity that exempts notable charity
organizations from paying taxes.
The Governor’s wife also noted that she has a strong passion for what
she does, adding that she would continue to touch the lives of the
people, especially the poor in and out of politics.

At Oyi Local Government Area, the governor’s wife also commissioned a
library complex built under the chairmanship of Engineer Nnamdi
Nwadogbu, the Transition Committee Chairman of the council.
In his remarks, the member representing Oyi Constituency at the
Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Charles Obimma and his
Dunukofia counterpart, Honourable Lawrence Ezeudu, praised the
consistency of the tour and observed that the joy which the Governor’s
wife has put on the faces of the poor would remain memorable.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Uchenna
Okafor ,that of Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi
Mezue, as well as the Managing Director of Anambra State Physical
Planning Board, Barrister Chike Maduekwe, noted that Dr Mrs. Obiano
has done something that would remain a template for the political
class now and in years to come.
The Transition Committee Chairmen of Oyi and Dunukofia Local
Government Areas, Engineer Nnamdi Nwadogbu and Engineer Emeka Okonkwo,
pointed to what the governor’s wife has done with human capacity
development over the years with her NGO, adding that the present
administration in the state has achieved greatly with Dr Mrs. Obiano
haven played a huge part in it.

Dr Mrs. Obiano was joined in the visits by the wife of the National
Chairman of APGA, Mrs Mary Oye, the Special Adviser to Governor Willie
Obiano on Chieftaincy Matters and Community Liason, Mrs. Vera-Queen
Okonkwo, that of Special Duties, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, the Chairman of
Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, Dr Peter Egenti,
foremost educationist, Professor Marius Okonkwo, other government
officials and traditional rulers from the communities under the two
local government areas.
As part of the visit’s schedule, the governor’s wife also give out
palliatives to widows, the less privileged, the aged and the
physically challenged selected each from the eleven communities under
the two local government areas.
