An International Organization has donated medical protective materials
and equipment worth thousands of naira to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu
University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka.
The items donated were two hundred bottles of liquid soap, two hundred
bottles of hand sanitizers, three hundred bottles of bleach, standing
fan, chairs and tables among others.
Handing over the items to the Management of the hospital, the leader
of the team Mr. Chibuzor Chibuoke said the aim of the donation is to
help health workers in the hospital protect themselves while handling
emergencies as well as ensure that workers are not infected with HIV
and AIDS in the course of their duties.
Mr. Chibuoke who commended medical practitioners in the hospital for
their steadfastness and dedication to duty maintained that the need
for them and their patients to stay in a conducive atmosphere while
doing their Jobs can never be over emphasized and charged them to keep
working for God and humanity.
Receiving the items, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr.
Basil Nwankwo thanked the organization for the timely donation.
Dr. Nwankwo who disclosed that the hospital is expanding in both
infrastructure and services through the support of the Anambra State
government promised to put the items donated to maximum use.
