As part of efforts to cushion the effect of covid-19 pandemic, the member representing Anaocha Two Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Ejike Okechukwu has distributed food items to his constituents to give them a sense of belonging.


The occasion took place at his compound in Neni, under strict observation of social distancing and personal hygiene of hand washing. 
House of Assembly Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim was there and  reports that Honourable Okechukwu distributed three thousand tubers of yam and four thousand cartons of noodles to the poorest women in his constituency. 


The lawmaker engaged Women Leaders of the communities in Anaocha Two Constituency and APGA women leaders of the nine electoral wards in the area to deliver the items to them.


While urging them to ensure that the items get to the targeted persons, the lawmaker enjoined them to always carry out the preventive measures against coronavirus outlined by the State Government. 


He announced that he had last week distributed preventive materials to the six communities in Anaocha Two Constituency, namely Akwaeze, Neni, Aguluzoigbo, Ichida, Obeledu and Nri as part of his  contributions towards the fight against the pandemic ravaging the globe, expressing happiness that the virus has not entered into Anambra State.


Other items distributed were tubes of hand sanitizers, cartons of face mask, hand gloves, Cans of liquid soap hand washing buckets among others.
In his remark, the immediate past Chairman, Anaocha Local Government Area, Chief Ikeobi Ejiofor said Honourable Okechukwu has demonstrated quality representation by distributing preventive materials and food items to his constituents this hard times.


The Woman leader, Anaocha Local Government Area Mrs. Ngozi Obiekwe, commended the lawmaker for touching their lives positively, assuring that the food items will be delivered to the women they were meant for. UPSOT
