The Ministry of Transport has commenced the enforcement of the directives by the Anambra State Government over the Corona-virus pandemic.


This was witnessed during the sensitization exercise carried out at some Motor parks in Awkuzu and Onitsha respectively while inspection of vehicles on the high way as it concerns limiting the number of passengers was also conducted.


Addressing the Managers of various parks, the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Christian Madubuko directed that Commercial transport operators should have an effective manifest of all passengers moving into the State, in addition to water dispensers in Motor parks and hand sanitizers.


The Commissioner maintained that the mapped out precautionary measures is to ensure the safety of the State citizenry.


According to the Transport Commissioner, the directives asking the commercial buses and tricycle to maintain the minimum passengers of two for tricycles, three for shuttle buses, among others must be enforced strictly.


At Onitsha, one of the park Managers, Mr Felix Okunie who thanked the Anambra State Government for its precautionary directives towards ensuring that the deadly virus is curbed, assured that the measures will be duly adopted at the parks.
