Nigeria and Egypt will represent Africa at the 2019 International Table Tennis Federation Team World Cup, from November sixth to tenth at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.


Nigeria will present the men’s team to represent Africa, while the Egyptian women’s teams are the continent’s representatives.
The tournament serves as a test event for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.


In Nigeria’s team for the tournament are Segun Toriola, Aruna Quadri, Olajide Omotayo, Bode Abiodun and Azeez Solanke.


Egypt named Dina Meshref, Reem El-Eraky, Yousra Helmy, Marwa Alhodaby and Farah Abdel-Aziz in their team.


Nigeria qualified for the World Cup after winning the 2018 African Championships in Mauritius.


They are returning to the tournament after their last appearance in 2010.
Omar Assar, led Egypt to win the bronze medal at the 2013 edition held in China.
