Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has expressed confidence in the completion and delivery date of the International Conference Centre, Agu Awka.
To show the importance of the project to the State government, Governor Obiano undertook another inspection visit to the site to ascertain pace and quality of work.
Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana was part of the inspection visit and reports that Governor Obiano, who expressed satisfaction that the project is taking shape, said that the State government is giving the contractor all necessary support to ensure that the project is completed on schedule noting that the construction of pillars was at its final stage to receive the wall for the roofing.
The Governor explained that the imported components for the structure was already in place, stressing that the project, when completed, will transform Awka as a city, as well as improve the economy of the State.
In his remarks, consultant to the Project, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma said that the State is cooperating to deliver the project, assuring of meeting the target deadline and job specification.
