Governor Willie Obiano has tasked members of the Seventh Assembly in the State on Increased synergy with the Executive Arm of Government.

Governor Obiano was speaking during a parley he held with the House of Assembly Members who were led to the Governor’s lodge, Amawbia by their new Speaker, Right Honourable Uchenna Okafor representing Ayamelum Constituency.

Welcoming and congratulating the House Members on the tedious journey they embarked before their emergence, Governor Obiano stressed that the synergy will help fast track development in the State for the overall good of ndi Anambra.

The Governor who said that power belongs to God alone, stressed that they owe gratitude to God for their emergence, urging them to ensure to discharge their duties to ndi Anambra with due diligence, working with the executive arm of government.

Right Honourable Okafor appreciated the Governor for all the support he has been giving to them so far, saying that members of the Assembly are professionals from different backgrounds, which he explained will be of immense help in the law making job in the State.

While pledging that the Seventh Assembly will be peaceful, Right Honourable Okafor also pledged that the synergy existing between the Executive and Legislature will be strengthened with their emergence to ensure that the lofty dreams of the present administration are achieved.

He appreciated his colleagues for electing him as their speaker, expressing optimism that the seventh Assembly will be the transperent to ensure increased service delivery to ndi Anambra.

The Deputy Speaker of the House, Honourable Paschal Agbodike, the Majority leader, Dr Nnamdi Okafor, the Deputy Majority Leader, Honourable Emeka Aforka attended the parley.
