The INEC headquarter Awka was yesterday thrown into a celebration mood when the members elect alongside their spouses family members and fans gathered for the event which returned them as the Anambra state sixth Assembly.
The members were called one after another to pick their certificates presented by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr Nkwachukwu Orji .
At the end .the members elect flanked by their fans and relations posed for pictures flaunting their certificates.
Reacting over the development, the member representing Anambra East in the fifth Assembly Pharmacist Obinna Emeneka and his Njikoka one constituency Dr Timothy Ifedioranmma, both reelected for the sixth assembly , expressed appreciation to their constituents for reposing much confidence on them, and promised to consolidate on the programmes established earlier.
In their various speeches, the member elect for Anambra West constituency Mr Patrick Udoba and his Onitsha North One counterpart Mr Douglas Egbuna both going to the house of Assembly for the first time, thanked God for finding them worthy and said that they must work hard to fulfil their campaign promises to their people.
In a separate interview, the member elect for Orumba North constituency and his Orumba South counterpart Engineer Emma Nwafor who appreciated Governor Willie Obiano for his developmental strides which has endeared APGA to ndi Anambra and placed the party above every other party in the state, thereby giving edge over other candidates.
