The Chairman Transition Committee for Ogbaru Local Government Area, Mr Arinze Awogu has assured the people of Okpoko of the State government’s commitment to executing more projects in the area.

He gave the assurance when the executive members of Okpoko Development Union paid him a courtesy visit at the Council Headquarters Atani.

According to him, the State government has mobilized the firm handling the G.M.O-Ogbuagu-Mgbuka-Amazu road back to site, adding that work will soon commence on it, while other needs like provision of borehole for the people of Okpoko and rehabilitation of other dilapidated roads among others, will soon be addressed by the State government.

In his remarks, the President-General of Okpoko Development Union, Sir Eddie Emesinwa, felicitated with Mr Awogu on his appointment as the Transition Committee Chairman for Ogbaru Local Government Area describing it as an appointment well deserved.

He assured that the people of Okpoko are solidly behind Governor Willie Obiano in his determination to turn Anambra into a State with litany of opportunities.
