The State government has restated its commitment to sanitizing and beautifying various areas across the State.
The Commissioner for Water and Rail Transportation, Mr Uchenma Okafor stated this while inspecting the ongoing decongestion of the Nkpor New Parts, Flyover in Idemili North local Government Area.
The Commissioner said the exercise is part of measures by the Obiano administration to improve the aesthetics of the area, pointing out that the state government will no longer tolerate any form of impunity as majority of the illegal structures constitute hideouts for criminals.
Mr Okafor, observed that the decongestion has enhanced free vehicular and human movement in the area.
Speaking during the exercise, the Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area Transition Committee, Mr Ralph Nnabuife, extolled Governor Willie Obiano for all his efforts towards improve the living standards of the people.
