Anambra State government has re-assured the people of Orumba North and South Council Areas of its commitment to providing steady power supply in the area.

Deputy Governor, Dr Nkem Okeke was speaking at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Owerre-Ezukala, in Orumba South Council Area.

Dr Okeke, who told the people that government understands their plight, being without power supply over the years, reminded them that Governor Willie Obiano has spent over eight hundred million naira to fix the situation, but that the effort was sabotage, though he said talks have been ongoing since then, to bring lasting solution to the power challenge.

The Deputy Governor reminded the people of Owerre-Ezukala of the need to participate in the forthcoming election in the State, urging them to vote wisely.

He assured that with security in place, Governor Obiano is better positioned to tackle all developmental challenges facing the communities in the State, calling for a vote for him, for continuity.

Dr Okeke used the forum to call on the citizenry to take advantage of the ongoing registration of voters to obtain their cards, as that is the only tool with which to vote in their desired candidate.
