The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Maduagwu, has described the death of Madam Christiana, the mother of Governor Willie Obiano as a great loss.
In a condolence message to Governor Willie Obiano, Barrister Maduagwu, noted that the life and times of the late madam Christiana portrayed her as a virtuous woman.
The Speaker urged Governor Obiano and the entire Obiano family to bear the loss with fortitude, stressing that their late mother lived a good Christian life worthy of emulation.
In a related development, the State Council of Traditional Prime Ministers has commiserated with Governor Willie Obiano over the death of his mother, madam Christiana.
Conveying the condolences of the council to the Governor, its President, Chief Anthony Enukeme and Secretary Chief Joe Nwegwu, described the demise of the Matriarch, as a great loss and urged Governor Obiano and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their late mother lived an exemplary and fulfilled Christian life.
Meanwhile, the traditional ruler of Nanka in Orumba North Local government area, Igwe Godwin Ezeilo, has extended the condolences of the people of Nanka to Governor Willie Obiano, over the death of his Mother, Madam Christiana.
In a condolence message, Igwe Ezeilo while praying God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest, urged Governor Obiano to bear the loss with fortitude.
