A twelve-man committee to organize the 2017 Governor Obiano Traders Cup Competition has been inaugurated with Reverend Father Obinna Dike of Fides Communication as Chairman.

Inaugurating the Committee, State Commissioner for Youth Entrepreneurship and Sports Development, Dr. Uju Nworgu, assured that no trader would be excluded from the competition.
Dr. Nworgu said a level playing ground would be created for traders in all the markets to showcase their prowess and skills.
The Committee has a former green Eagles goalkeeper, Mr. Emmanuel Okala, as Technical Adviser with renowned ex-Rangers goalkeeper Paul Obiakor, as head of the Technical Sub-Committee.
Other members of the committee include Faith Okwonna, a Director in the Sports Ministry who heads the Protocol and Ceremonial sub-committee while Mr. Joseph Umudu, Director of Sports, will run the administration of the committee.
Mr. Damian Egwuonwu, the immediate past state Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria is Heading the Media Sub-Committee.
The committee has three months to organize the competition, which has Onitsha main market Traders as the defending champions.
