The one hundred and seventy-nine communities in the state have unanimously resolved and requested Governor Willie Obiano to do a second term.

The resolution, contained in a five-point communiqué issued at the end of the grand general meeting of Ndi Anambra, at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, was duly signed by the National President of ASATU, Dr. Jude Okolo and its National Secretary, Mr. Peter Nwagu. The communiqué called on Ndi Anambra, both at home and in the diaspora, to adopt the philosophy of Akulueuno, by bringing the major part of their wealth home to develop the state.
It also declares ASATU’s unalloyed support for government policies on vigilantee groups, stating categorically that traditional rulers should chair the vigilante group supervisory committees while the Presidents-General take charge of administration.
The communiqué indicates that the one hundred and seventy-nine communities in the state have noted with delight the wonderful work of governor Obiano in all sectors of the state economy, making Anambra one of the most flourishing and stable states in the country.
It adopted Igbo language as the official medium of communication in the one hundred and seventy-nine communities and charged the state government to establish a platform for regular meetings of elected political leaders for the overall development of the state.
