As Governor Willie Obiano’s second term re-election bid continues to garner unprecedented weight, stakeholders have highlighted the

administration’s open-handedness and peerless achievements as palpable reasons for his re-election.

This was part of resolutions reached at the Ochi town hall meeting, Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area.

The town hall meeting which was organized by the Stakeholders for Willie Obiano Second Term gave the room for various towns under the Ochi zone to score the administration as well as make their yearnings known to the Governor’s representatives.

Part of the issues raised at the town hall meeting, which was also attended by the representatives of the four towns under Ochi zone – Unubi, Ekwulummili, Azuigbo and Amichi – was the need to support the present regime’s visionary goals at the November 18th poll.

Responding, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Internally Generated Revenue, Honourable Uchenna Okafor, who represented Governor Willie Obiano, applauded the way and manner with which the issues were raised and re-assured the people of the government’s persistent drive to even and direct grassroots development.

Also speaking, the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Mmaduagwu Noted that the occasion had depicted true and committed democracy, which the present government stands for, and pledged the continued support of the state’s legislature to endure that the dividends of good governance are rightly felt by every Anambrarian.

Earlier in his address, the National Coordinator, Stakeholders for Willie Obiano Second Term, Chief Ekene Eneje, said there was great need to listen to the electorate, hence the town hall convergence which has re-demonstrated the governor’s open door communication policy towards development.   

One of the Conveners of the program, Doctor Jeff Okeke, noted that the people’s testimonies of the good works of the present government were a clear belief in the mandate of democracy.

Also present at the meeting were an erstwhile transporter, Doctor Chidi Anyaegbu, Honourable Vivian Okadigbo, member representing Oyi constituency at the state House of Assembly, Comrade Ikenna Mbazurike, Local Government Coordinator, Stakeholders for Willie Obiano Second Term, Nnewi South Local Government Council, amongst others.
