A two day workshop on Digital Broadcasting organized for staff of the Programmes Department of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, has ended in Awka, with a call on the participants to embrace team work, in order to excel in their duties.
Participants were happy to have been exposed on ways of implementing the rudiments in modern broadcasting. Some of the resource persons Messrs. Al Champman D Great and Ayo Makinde charged the participants to brace for the modern trends in broadcasting, urging them to always ask questions and listen to others. Another resource person, Mr Jika Attoh, charged presenters to cultivate the habit of being in the studio an hour ahead of their presentation for rehearsal as well as strive to respect the house style. Earlier, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Uche Nworah, reminded the participants of the station’s mission statement which is to effectively use its network to project brand Anambra, its Values and developmental thrives of the state govern
He commended the programmes department for organizing the workshop. Speaking on the importance of the workshop, Franca Ononuju, Ify Unachukwu and Godwin Unigwe, maintained that the lectures identified occasional flaws by broadcasters in the electronic media pledging to avoid them while on air. In a vote of thanks the Director of programmes of the ABS Mr Don Onyenji urged the beneficiaries to put into use the knowledge they garnered at the workshop.
