The Archbishop Ecclesiastical province of the Niger and Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Most Reverend Christian Efobi, has cautioned Nigerians against criticizing those in authority unnecessarily.
He spoke at Immanuel Parish Ezinifite in Aguata Local Government Area, during a service of confirmation and admission into the Girls Guild and Mothers Union, for all the churches under Ezinifite Archdeaconry.
Most Reverend Efobi maintained that instead of criticizing those in leadership positions, the citizenry should always pray for them to enable them deliver on their mandate.
He called on Nigerians to stop blaming anybody for the Present economic recession facing the country, adding that with fervent prayers and support to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nation’s economy will soon bounce back to life.
Most Reverend Efobi used the forum to call on the Federal Road Safety Corps, to redouble its efforts, in order to reduce accidents on the highway especially during this yuletide.
In a remark, the Archdeacon of Ezinifite Archdeaconry, Venerable Nwachineke Ekwueme, urged those that received the sacrament of confirmation during the service to be role model.
Sixty-Nine candidates received the sacrament of confirmation while forty-four girls were admitted into the Girls Guild and eleven women into the Mothers Union during the service which was jointly conducted by the Vicar of Saint Peter’s parish Ezinifite, Reverend Divine-favour Abalogu and his Saint Andrew’s counterpart Reverend kenechukwu Nwosu.
