The present curriculum in education has been adjudged the best thing that has happened in the national education sector.
Mr Philip Nwachukwu of the Nigeria Educational Research and Development Council, Awka was speaking in a lecture at a one day enlightenment programme for proprietors and teachers of private schools in the state held in Awka.
Mr Nwadukwe explained that the new curriculum has enabled the education sector meet up with the global standard in education.
The State Chairman, of national Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, sir Sunny Aniekwe said the exercise is aimed at equipping teachers with necessary rudiments for enhanced teaching.
Sir Sunny stated that the association has resolved to key into the Governor Obiano’s education agenda as a reciprocity for his commitment to the development of the sector thanking him for the provision of laptop, vehicles, sporting equipments among others.   
Contributing, the Onitsha Zonal Chairman of the association, Sir Ignatius Egbuobi noted that the revised curriculum would further widen student’s scope of knowledge to meet up with the current trends in education.
Sir Ignatius called on teachers across the state to key into Governor Obiano’s blue print in education in ensuring a literate society.
On her part, Dr Patricia Olikeze stated that the forum has exposed students to better knowledge of National values in education.
