Four members of a gang suspected to specialize in stealing electricity cables and solar powered gadgets have been nabbed by the Umunbo vigilante group in Ayamelum Local Government Area.
Two of the suspected thieves are still on the run while the arrested four persons are said to have come in from Enugu State.
According to the Chairman of the Vigilante Group, Mr Ananti Okoye the suspects were caught red handed vandalizing the solar powered street lights installed in the community, adding that arms and ammunitions were also recovered from them.
Mr Okoye said the boys between the ages of twenty five and twenty-seven have been handed over to the police.
He assured residents that vigilante groups in the area are working round the clock to ensure that criminals are chased out of the zone and implored the state government to provide them with more logistics for crime fighting.
