The Dean Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Christian Efobi has cautioned Christians against working for God, without knowing Jesus Christ.

In a sermon at Saint James Church Uga in Aguata Local Government Area, during a service of confirmation and admissions into the Women’s Guild and Men’s fellowship, Most Reverend Efobi who maintained that the purpose of Christ is to destroy the devil, advised Christians to love God by keeping all His commandments.
Most Reverend Efobi, who is also the Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Aguata Diocese, urged the children of God to always follow due process in all they do.
He called on youths to enroll in Church organizations in order to become useful citizens.
Archbishop Efobi, who affirmed that faith without good work is dead, advised those that were admitted into the Women’s Guild, and Men’s fellowship, to desist from making uncomplimentary remarks before their children
In a remark the Vicar of the Church and Archdeacon of Uga Archdeaconry, Venerable Christopher Ikpa advised Christians to always have passion for the word of God.
One hundred and twenty-four candidates received the Sacrament of Confirmation, while forty-three Women were admitted into the Women’s Guild and seventeen men into the Men’s Fellowship during the service which was for Saint James, Saint Luke’s, and Saint Christopher’s Church all in Uga, as well as Saint Paul’s Church Amesi.
