The Vice Chancellor,  Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Professor Joseph Ahaneku, says that the agricultural policy and skill acquisition programmes of the present administration will open a new avenue for job opportunities and boost the state’s economy.

Professor Ahanekwu made this known to the newsmen at Saint Joseph’s the Walker Chaplaincy Awka while reacting to the twenty-fourth Anniversary of the State.
He extolled the achievements of the past and present leaders of the state, and prayed God to sustain the current leadership of the state noting that the all round development of the state more especially in education, security, infrastructural provision of the present administration would make Anambra to reflect the light of the nation indeed.
The Vice Chancellor while extolling Governor Obiano for the development of the state, stated that as it is now, there is need for people to re-discover their talents, embrace agriculture adding that skill related programmes and sporting policies should be embraced for the well being of the state’s citizenry. Contributing, an APGA stalwart, Chief Rommey Ezeonwuka, said that since APGA led administrations came on board, the state has witnessed massive development in all aspects of the economy.
