School children have been charged to make judicious use of the holiday period in order to increase their learning capabilities.
The Head of Programmes, Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Don Onyenji, gave the charge, on behalf of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Station, Mr Uche Nworah, during an excursion visit by children from Annunciation Catholic Parish, Awka Diocese, to ABS Corporate Headquarters, in Awka.
Correspondent, Emmanuel Okonkwo said Onyenji advised them to always listen to the radio and watch television, especially ABS Channels, stating that Anambra Broadcasting Service, has wonderful programmes for children.
The children’s activities coordinator of the Awka Catholic Diocese, Lady Bibian Ugwu, explained that the exercise is a means of keeping the children busy throughout the vacation.
On her part, one of the teachers, Mrs Marydina Okafor, thanked the ABS management for approving the excursion
exercise, stating that the visit was a rewarding experience for the children.
One of the children, Master Frankline Asogwa, expressed joy over their visit to the station, noting that they had been exposed to Radio and Television broadcasting.
The children were conducted round the station by, Mrs Patience Obiogbolu, Lady Uju Ifediba and Mrs Chinwe
Emma-madu.
