As part of the efforts by the State Government to ensure that teachers in the state become computer literate by the year 2016, the Microsoft IT Academy will conduct training for teachers across the state all through the long holiday.
The training is scheduled as follows:Â
Awka zone. From 27th July-1st August, time, 10am-4pm, Venue: Igwebuike Grammar School, Awka and Community Secondary School Isuaniocha.
Otuocha  zone. From 3rd-8th August. Time, 10am-4pm, venue: Justice Chinwuba Secondary School, Aguleri; Father Joseph Secondary School, Aguleri and Community Secondary School, Umuoba Anam.
Onitsha zone. From 10th-15th August. Time, 10am-4pm, venue: Urban Girls Secondary School, Fegge; St Charles College, Onitsha and Washington Memorial Secondary School, Onitsha.
Nnewi zone. From 17th-22nd August. Time, 10am-4pm, venue: Okongwu Memorial Grammar School and Urban Secondary School, Ichi.
Ogidi zone. From 24th-29th August. Time, 10am-4pm, venue: Girls Secondary School, Ogidi.
Aguata zone. From 30th August-5th Sept, Time, 10am-4pm, venue: Community Secondary School, Oko; Â Girls Secondary School, Igboukwu; Pioneer Secondary School, Umuchu and All Saints Secondary School, Umunze.
All Principals of Secondary Schools  and heads of primary Schools in the State are by this announcement directed to ensure that teachers in their schools attend the  training.
