People of all ages have been called upon to engage in regular health examination and tests so as to help find problems before they start. A medical practitioner, Dr Ernest Ifebi in a press release said part of the check up will involve talking to one’s doctor about one’s medical history, family disease associated with their lineage,
lifestyle choices, diet choices and exercise habits. According to the medical practitioner, if anyone is at the risk of a particular disease, it is recommended that they get tested regularly regardless of age. He listed some important tests and screenings to include high blood pressure, diabetes through fasting blood sugar test, cholesterol through lipid profile, urinalysis, weight body mass index, among others. For men, he said there is need for them to screen for prostate and for women to do self breast examination.
