INEC Cautioned Against Disenfranchising Voters

Politics

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Anambra State has been urged to create more registration units for the on- going  continuous registration exercise in the state.

In a statement in Onitsha, the chairman, Onitsha United Forum, comrade Osii Ndubisi said, such measure has become necessary in order to decongest the traffic congestion being experienced at most of the available registration units due to the massive turn out of eligible voters for the exercise.
Comrade Ndubisi expressed the fear that many eligible voters may be disenfranchised during the forthcoming governorship election in the state, if adequate measures were not taken to ensure a comprehensive registration exercise.
He expressed total confidence in Governor Obiano’s ability to clinch victory at the polls due to his unprecedented feat in the governance of the state.
