Sir Nobert made this assertion during a meeting of members of the State Executive Committee of APGA and other stakeholders of the party at Aguleri in Anambra East local government area.
Sir Nobert enthused that due to the unity of purpose and solidarity among party faithful in the state, APGA and its imminent candidate in the November 18gubernatorial election, Governor Willie Obiano, would easily emerge victorious.
For his part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters and convener of the APGA family meeting, Comrade Chinedu Obidigwe, commended the state executive committee of the party for their recent successful tour of the twenty one local government areas of Anambra state.
Chief Obidigwe stressed the need for relentless grassroots sensitisation and mobilisation of the electorate towards the forthcoming governorship poll.
He explained that the recent deluge of merit awards and endorsements of Governor Obiano by several credible groups in Anambra state and beyond are clear evidence of the Governor’s credibility and popularity among the people.
Comrade Obidigwe, however, noted that despite the fact that the good governance and impressive delivery of democracy dividends by the Obiano administration has made APGA acceptable in the state, the party must make contingency arrangements to discourage unscrupulous politicians and electoral officials from getting involved in electoral fraud during the fourth coming governorship poll in the state.
The meeting of APGA stakeholders at Aguleri also resolved that members of the party should intensify enlightenment campaigns to convince eligible voters in the state to participate more actively in the ongoing continuous voter registration and revalidation exercise in the country.
