The immediate past deputy governor of the state, Chief Emeka Sibeudu says the cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of the Anambra state government has contributed immensely to the ongoing impressive socio-economic development and progress of the state.
Chief Sibeudu made this observation during a political stake holders forum at Ekwulobia in Aguata local government area.
He praised members of the Anambra state House of Assembly for their recent unanimous vote of implicit confidence on Governor Willie Obiano over the sterling performance of his administration in less than three years in the saddle.
Chief Sibeudu noted that the gesture would further spur the state government to deliver more democracy dividends in the state, pointing out that the recent economic stimulus package of the present administration as well as the release of twenty million naira to each of the one hundred and seventy nine communities for execution of projects chosen by them are the most people oriented programs ever executed by governments in Anambra state and in the country.
The former deputy governor praised Governor Obiano for doing so much for Ndi Anambra in spite of the dwindling economic fortunes of Nigeria and emphasized that the present administration in the state is receiving significant less revenue from the federation account than the immediate past government in the state.
Chief Sibeudu also commended the people of the Old Aguata Union and the entire traditional rulers of the area for their unanimous endorsement of the incumbent governor of the state for a second term and for giving him the traditional title of AGUNECHEMBA of Old Aguata Union.
