Nursing Mothers have been called upon to use the opportunity of the second round of the National Immunization Plus days, that will commence tomorrow to inoculate their
children below zero to fifteen years against polio and other child killer diseases.
The President of the Mothers Union, Women’s and Girls’ Guild in Awka Anglican Diocese, Mrs Chioma Ibezim, who made the call in an interview with the ABS, at the Bishops’ Court Awka, maintained that children as future leaders should be taken proper care of.
She stressed the need for the citizenry to maintain a clean and Healthy environment so as to reduce the rate of communicable diseases in the society.
The Awka Diocesan Bishop’s wife used the opportunity to advise mothers to always monitor the kind of company their children keep in order not to bring shame to their various families.
Mrs Ibezim commended the Federal and State Government, for placing high premium on Health and called for its sustenance.
