More than one hundred Omambala indigenes participated in the just concluded auditioning of the movie, "Anyanwu Ututu", the first season of the Ebube Igbo Television series.
Omambala area was the first port of call for the movie that will showcase the culture and language of Igbo people.
As at nine o’clock of last Saturday morning the prospective actors who defied the rains started to arrive the venue of the auditioning at the ancient kingdom of Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area.
The participants were tested on their knowledge of the culture, tradition and their ability to speak unadulterated Omambala dialect as well as their ability to be creative.
The movies series, “Anyanwu Ututu” which is a story of two lovers whose love got embroiled in a generational family conflict, will serve as a platform to harness new talents, provide job opportunities and showcase the rich cultural heritage of Igbos starting from Omambala area.
Nollywood Actress and Executive Producer of the movie, Miss Chioma Okoye and a Movie Director who served as a judge at the audition, Mr Olisaemeka Itochi explained the idea behind the concept.
