The special Assistant to the governor on Media for Grassroot Mobilization, Mr Egbuna Amuta, says the Resurrection concert billed for Easter Sunday will re-enact
the early 70s sense of nostalgia in Ndigbo of evergreen tunes.
Exchanging views with newsmen at the Government House, Awka, Mr Amuta recalled that Governor Obiano had in February 2015, organized a historic burial ceremony for the repose of the souls of Ndigbo who lost their lives during the civil war and other political and religious crises in Nigeria.
The governor’s Aide also said that, in the spirit of his passion for Ndigbo, Governor Obiano has, since September 2014, been giving, what he called, up- keep allowances to sixty- one ex-Rangers International Footballers, who made the Igbo race proud by winning several laurels for the defunct East Central State and Nigeria, soon after the Biafra war.
Mr Amuta listed TOP STARS Of THE 70s, who would perform at the Dr Alex Ekwueme square, Awka, on Easter Sunday, to include, Sweet Breeze, One World, Apostles , Funkees and Founders 15.
Others according to him are, Aktion, Wings, Semi-Colon, Sokey Ohale and Wrinkers Experience, with new breed musician, Flavor, featuring at the event which would also be witnessed by Governor Willie Obiano , top government officials, their families and friends.
