Nigerian - American Chamber Of Commerce Lauds Obiano On Investment Policies

The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce has praised the Obiano administration for its Investment and promotion policies.

The Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners, Mr. Mark Okoye disclosed this during the South-East Youth Economic and Political Summit in Awka.

Leaders of different youth groups from the five States of the South-East and the twenty one local government areas of the State converged for the summit to raise strong structures and bargain by the youths in the geopolitical zone and the country in general.

Addressing the youth leaders, the Commissioner for Economic Planning, Budget and Development Partners, Mr Okoye who just returned from the Chambers summit in Lagos, stated that the policies put in place by the Obiano administration in the area of investment, was part of a blueprint that will take the State to greater heights.

On his part, the Member representing Anambra East Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Mr Obinna Emenaka called on the youths to become more responsible in governance by being watchdogs of government policies.

Others who spoke at the event were the former Vice President, National Youth Council of Nigeria, South-East who Chaired the event, Comrade Emmanuel Mbanusi and the incumbent Vice President of the council, Comrade innocent Nduanya reiterated the need for youths to always show integrity and diligence in carrying out their activities.

A call by the participants on the youths to become more engaged in community service, policy making as well as in capacity development as a way to become leaders, were some of the resolutions reached at the end of the summit.
