Twenty out of the forty-five point seven kilometre Aguleri-uno-Aguleri -Otu oil rig road, in Anambra East Local Government Areawill be completed by April 2018.

The Commissioner for Road Construction, Road furniture and Maintenance, Chief Lawrence Chinwuba disclosed this while inspecting the pace of work on the road.
it was observed that construction work on the two hundred and eighty meters bridge has been completed.
It was also observed that earth work, sand excavation, and sand filling were on going.
Addressing journalists, Chief Chinwuba, said that the Odene Eziagulu bridge which is the longest bridge in Anambra connects one of the roads to the oil rig at Aguleri, saying that the Iyiora bridge which is in Anambra West Council Area is one hundred and eighty meters while that of Umueje in Ayamelum Council area is eighty meters long.
Explaining why government is constructing three different roads to the oil rig, Chief Chinwuba noted that the areas as the food basket of the state have been witnessing influx of land developers.
He explained that due to the challenging nature of the road, a lot of excavation and sand filling is required to ensure its durability.
The Superintendent of the construction firm handling the road project Mr Rammy Abbass, said they have covered thirty cubic meters of the road in terms of laying of sands, saying that the road would have several box culverts.
