Over eight hundred graduates of Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe, have been inducted into teaching profession by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN.
Speaking during the induction, the Registrar and Chief Executive of TRCN, Professor Olusegun Ajiboye, represented by the Director Professional Operations, Mr. Ibrahim Dahiru, said induction ceremony is a demonstration of zeal to improve the process of teaching and learning and extolled the management of Nwafor Orizu College of Education for playing significant role of producing high level manpower for the teaching profession.
He restated their commitment towards sanitizing teaching profession and solicits synergy between the government and the Council to achieve the desired goal.
Earlier in an address, the Provost Nwafor Orizu College of Education Nsugbe, Dr Ego Uzoezie, reminded the newly inducted teachers of the task ahead and advised them to make use of the knowledge they acquired from the College to prove their quality in the society.
She charged them to upgrade their skills always through continuing professional development to enable them address emerging problems.
One of the inductees, Comrade Law Egbumuche who spoke on behalf of other inductees, thanked God for guiding them through all the rigors of the profession noting that they are proud to be professional teachers.
