The state electorate have been urged to use their voters cards to entrench good governance and sustainable development in the state.
Speaking in Awka, the state chairman of APGA, Sir Norbert Obi enjoined them to put the future of the state above every other consideration in the coming governorship election in the state.
Sir Norbert said the re-election of Governor Willie Obiano would ensure that the present tempo of achievements across the state is maintained to keep it on course for sustainable development.
He noted that the Governor’s initiatives and innovations have brought a new dawn and raised the bar of governance in the state which he said has attracted commendation from within and outside the country.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Mr. Ostar Christopher urged all principal actors in the political arena to play according to the rules to maintain the prevailing peace and stability in the state.
Mr. Christopher urged them to avoid acts capable of threatening the effective security network put in place by Governor Obiano’s administration, urging INEC to give all political parties level playing ground to ensure free, fair and credible election.
He noted that Governor Obiano has performed beyond people’s expectations and school be re-elected to consolidate on his achievements.
Mr. Christopher charged youths not to be willing tools in the hands of desperate politicians who may seek to use them to achieve selfish aims and advised parents to exercise firm control over their children and wards.
In his reaction, a member of the Willie Obiano re-election committee, Mr. Olisa Aniuno observed that the present administration has recorded remarkable achievements in building private sector driven economy by providing conducive environment and effective security network that attracted huge foreign direct investments and accelerated socio- economic growth .
