Pilgrims from Nigeria and other parts of the world have converged at the headquarters of the Community of Hashem Worldwide, Awuda Nnobi,
for the celebration of the ongoing Feast of Tabernacle.
The eight day annual feast of tabernacle, celebrated with branches of various kinds of trees to rejoice before the presence of God, was aimed at fulfilling the biblical injunction as written in the book of Leviticus.
In his sermon during the feast, the General Overseer, Community of Hashem World Wide and the High Priest of the Church, Most Reverend Chidi Amakaeze who spoke on the topic “Ten Reasons why Burnt Sacrifice is still offered” explained that sacrifice is a covenant, that Jesus Christ did not come to destroy the Law, hence, instructed a leper he healed to offer burnt sacrifice.
Most Reverend Amakaeze mentioned two burnt sacrifices ordained by God to include sin and peace sacrifices and described them as perpetual ordinances of God.
Most Reverend Amakaeze prayed for the pilgrims, Nigeria and Anambra state.
The celebration featured praises, worship and choir rendition.
