The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools in the State says, Governor Willie Obiano's genuine commitment to leadership and the unprecedented achievements,
deserve a second term for consolidation.
The Chairman of the Association in the State, Sir Sunday Anekwe made the assertion after an interactive session between the members of the Association and Deputy Governor, Dr. Nkem Okeke, who represented Governor Willie Obiano.
Members of the Association represented over one thousand five hundred private schools across the State.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the interaction, Sir Sunday said that the support is because of the antecedents of the present government in all sectors of the State economy which he said is being felt by the grassroots.
He stressed that Governor Obiano's re-election bid is justified for many good obvious reasons, expressing satisfaction that for the first time in the history of the Association, a sitting Governor decided to engage them in a dialogue adding that their meeting with the State government was fruitful.
In a comment, Deputy Governor Okeke, noted that the dialogue was necessary to intimate the Association members of the activities of government, as information, according to him is key for engagement and participation in the process of development.
Dr Okeke said that the Association raised some issues that need to be discussed, pointing out that State government will continue to engage groups that are interested in the progress of the State, pledging continued synergy with the Association.
Earlier, the Transition Committee Chairman for Onitsha South, Honorable Emeka Asoanya, appreciated Governor Obiano's development drive, with specific mention of the security already put in place and called for increased support.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
