The Board of Directors of the Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency has charged all the benefiting communities across the participating council areas to ensure that their micro projects are put into full use with adequate maintenance for posterity.


The Board gave the charge, when some members took a tour of some micro projects executed in Ayamelum and Anambra East council areas.
Ebele Eze reports that some of the projects are the twenty-eight open market stores, VIP toilets and bore hole executed by Umueje Community Project Management Committee and the renovated Ifite-Ogwari health centre and town hall.


Others are the renovated and equipped Anaku Model Primary Health care centre, Doctors’ quarters and hand dug well, including the rural electrification and acquisition of hospital equipment for the people of Ikem-Ivite community in Anambra East council area.


Speaking after the tour, the Board Chairman, Igwe Roland Odegbo of Nteje, who expressed satisfaction with the micro projects executed and affirmed that they are impressive and community driven.


Igwe Odegbo, represented by a member of the Board, Igwe Charles Agbala of Uke, charged beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by giving Governor Willie Obiano led administration their unalloyed support.


The General Manager, Anambra State Community and Social Development Agency, Mr. Chudi Mojekwu unveiled that the project, which ended on the thirtieth of this month, has two hundred and forty-nine fully completed and functional micro projects scattered across the benefiting council areas.


Mr. Mojekwu, who stated that they have already built their capacity on sustainability measures, assured that the Agency will not close down as they will continue to render assistance to ensure that the projects are sustained.


On their parts, the CPMC chairman for Ifite-Ogwari Community, Honourable Edwin Okechi, that of Anaku, Honourable Denis Osita and their Ikem-Ivite counterpart, Mr. Fabian Ekwenze, who applauded Governor Willie Obiano for availing them the opportunity of benefiting from the laudable project, appealed for more.
