The management of Lynden Farms Ltd, Igbariam, a subsidiary of M-P Infrastructure Limited, promoters of Awka Millennium City Project has presented one thousand chickens to five motherless babies homes in and around Awka Capital City.


The Chairman of the company, Mr. Clem Nwogbo led some of his staff members on the distribution exercise.


Represented by a manager in the firm, Mr. Tony Nwumeh, Mr Nwogbo said it was to cushion the effect of the lock – down order by the state government which will start on Monday, 30th of March 2020.


Mr. Nwogbo said they understand the need for people, especially vulnerable members of the society to have food and other items at a time like this which is why they are sharing a total of one thousand chickens to the selected five motherless babies homes. He charged the care givers to make judicious use of the items.


Receiving the chickens, a care giver at Community Faith Home, Awka, Miss Ifeoma Agu and her counterpart at Model Community Home, Awka, Mrs. Ada Morah , appreciated Lynden Farms for remembering them at this period , and called on other individuals, corporate organizations to also remember them.


Homes visited by the group were, Community Faith Home Awka, Blessed Nise Community Children’s Home Awka, Tender Love Orphanage Amaenyi Awka, Model Babies Home Nise, and Divine Mercy Compassion Home Amawbia.
