Youths have been urged to key into the skill acquisition programme of the State government to become self reliant.
A community leader in Nise, Awka South Local Government Area, Chief Boniface Egbutu made the call while speaking with the ABS ahead of the March seventeenth swearing in ceremony of Governor Willie Obiano for a second term.
Chief Egbutu, who described the Obiano administration’s approach towards empowering the youths as unprecedented especially in the areas of agriculture and political inclusiveness, said the youths should maximize the opportunities to become self reliant.
He maintained that the agricultural blueprint of the present administration in ensuring that there are all-season farming engagement through provision of water pumps has made agriculture attractive to the youths.
In a similar vein, the co-coordinator of Dorcas Foundation, Reverend Nkechi Mbanugo maintained that a society free of crime can only be achieved when the youths are properly engaged.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
