Reactions are still trailing the road accident at Ring Road Enugwu - Ukwu , Njikoka Local Government Area in which five people died and many others sustained injures.
The accident was blamed on human factor, as the eighteen year old driver was fingered for the crash.
The mood at the scene was sober and sad as the car in question, a red Mitsubishi car with a registration number AWK-375 AG was wrecked , with two empty crates of beer, a prove that the occupants were coming from a social gathering .
Speaking to the ABS crew, a shop owner and eye witness, Nneamaka Nwaekenta and a Resident of the area, Chief Eyiuche Igbokwe said the car driver was on high speed coming from Nise -Agulu road to Enugu-Ukwu and have been warned severally along the route to slow down all to no avail until he met an obstruction which due to high speed he could not moneurver and ended up killing five road users while the car occupants only sustained injuries.
Chief Igbokwe blamed the accident on parents who leave their car keys with their unlicensed children and on youths who do not often listen their parents.
A victim who sustained injuries,Monday Egbe noted that he came to buy food items but had to sit and wait for his turn only to be knocked down by a wall the car had hit, but had to run for his dear life when he regained consciousness.
At the Beluchukwu Hospital in Enugu-Ukwu, a nurse, Joan Jacob confirmed that five victims and some of the injured were brought to the hospital.
