Bishop Okeke Calls For Appointment Of  More Women In Positions Of Authority


Women have been described as special gift to the society and various families.

The Anglican Bishop of Mbammili Diocese, Right Reverend Henry Okeke stated this in a telephone interview with the ABS on this year’s Mothering Sunday.

Bishop Okeke, who described the activities of women as priceless called on husbands and children to always appreciate the women folk.

The Anglican Bishop of Mbammili Diocese called for the appointment of more women into positions of authority, because according to him they are better managers of resources.

He cautioned women against delegating their family role of child upbringing to their house helps, which he described as an aberration.

Bishop Okeke advised husbands to always support and encourage their wives to enable them attain their potential in life.
