The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Re-Orientation, Mrs Mitchell Onugbolu, has called for a national reawakening and orientation to check moral decadence among the youth, especially students.
She made the call at Saint Kizito Girls Secondary School Umudioka, Dunukofia Council Area, Kenneth Dike Memorial Secondary School, Awka South, St John of God Secondary School, Awka, EziAwka Community Secondary School, Awka South Local Government Areas during Moral Instruction sessions at the schools.
Mrs Onugbolu appealed to individuals and organizations to support the crusade against immorality and indiscipline, saying that the purpose of visiting schools was to remind students of the Anambra State Shared Values which were mainly focused on impacting positive values on their everyday activities.
Addressing Students on "Our Shared Value", the Senior Special Assistant blamed the spate of immorality, indecent dressing and foul language among the youths on urbanization, social media cum information and communication technology.
She noted that the society was depreciating in culture and tradition as citizens were departing from the values of society.
In their separate remarks, some of the students advocated improved environment to boost academic activities even as they applauded Governor Obiano’s interest in turning around the Education sector of the state.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
