Information Minister, Lai  Mohammed Tasks TV Stations On Audience Evaluation


Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, wants television stations to device ways of measuring their audience in order to attract more advertisers revenue.

He was speaking at launch of Digital Switch over to Digital Television organized by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and partners in Enugu.


Speaking at the event, the Director- General of the NBC, Mallam Is'haq Modibo Kawu, said that the Commission is fully committed to transiting Nigeria fully from analogue terrestrial television broadcasting to digital broadcasting.



Performing the official switch on, Enugu state Governor, Right Honourable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, said that digital television is the future of television due to its clearer signals and multi-channel capabilities.



Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Ogbuefi Tony Nnachetta, who, alongside the MD/CEO of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Nze Uche Nworah, witnessed the event,

praised the vision of the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, on investing in the brand new digital radio and TV facilities at ABS.
