Parents have been charged to instill morals and discipline, early in the life of their children and wards.
The Parish Priest of Saint Joseph Parish Nibo, Reverend Father Paulus_Maria Okafor gave the charge in a homily during the dedication of little master Chiagoziem Francis Okoye the son of the Head of Engineering Department of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Engr Paul Okoye.
Rev Fr Okafor said faith in Christ Jesus is the best tool Christians need in surmounting the temptations of life like the man with leprosy in the bible stating that the mission of Christ is for the salvation of man.
He maintained that parents should create time for their children and be exemplary in their conduct so as to train their children in a way that will be better for them and the society.
Speaking shortly after the mass, the Acting Head of Administration Department of the ABS, Comrade Tina Ekenta said that children are special gift from God, and should be cherished and take good care of so that when they grow, they will follow the way of Christ ,advising Engr Paul Okoye and wife to always uphold their son with prayers.
The mother of the celebrant, Mrs. Amarachi Okoye, thanked God for blessing her family and promised to train him in the ways of God.
While expressing his gratitude to God for His mercies, Engr Paul Okoye said that the entrance of his son has opened a new door for the family, advising awaiting couples to patiently focus unto God for he will also remember them.
The dedication mass was well attended by ABS Family among whom is the Director News and Current Affairs Department, Mr. Gab Okpalaeze, while special thanksgiving and prayers for Okoye family formed the high point of the mass.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
