Bishop Okoye Calls For Panel Of Inquiry Into Killings By Fulani Herdsmen


The Federal Government has been called upon to find a lasting solution to Fulani herdsmen mayhem, in different parts of the country.

Speaking to the ABS in Awka, the Anglican Bishop of Ihiala Diocese, Right Reverend Professor Israel Okoye, regretted the failure of the Federal Government to address the issue which has caused deaths of many people.

He regretted that the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the country is seriously threatening the security of the Nigerian Nation.

Bishop Okoye, while calling for the constitution of a panel of inquiry into the recent killings by the Fulani herdsmen in the Country, advised the Federal Government to map out far reaching measures that will improve the living standards of the people.

The Ihiala Diocesan Bishop used the opportunity to call on those occupying leadership positions to always lead with the fear of the Lord.
